CULTURAL EVENTS
create music / drama / dancing programs at home.
ARE YOU AN ARTIST?
If you have opportunities to develop devotional arts in your home or in some cultural place, there are three kinds of cultural events that have always been very successful in spreading Krishna consciousness:
1. The Dances of India (there are many Baratha Natyam dancers, etc… in ISKCON)!
2. Vaisnava lyrics with modern music styles (in sanksrit or your own language)
3. Children’s Plays for Hindu communities (in festivals like Janmasthami, etc…)
BASIC NEED! FUN!
if you are interested in HAVING FUN… everybody wants to have fun! Let’s give them fun! CULTURAL EVENTS are a good option. Sometimes programs like Kirtan Programs are too meditative for some people, so Cultural Programs are a very good tool for spreading our arts and values in a dynamic way in easy to grasp, local languages that they can understand. “…just by Your desire they will be able to understand Your message… You are the Lord of the whole creation, so if You like You can make my power to speak suitable, so that they can understand” (Srila Prabhupada, Boston, 18th Sept, 1965)
INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR KRISHNA CULTURE
You can offer something more orthodox but also something more avant-garde!
You can invite other devoted artists, or friends of Krishna to enjoy great moments of ecstasy!
Music! Drama! Dance! Poetry! So many opportunities!
