SRI NARASIMHA ARATI
SADHANA - 4.50 AM -
This beautiful prayer is sung after every arati.
‘So we should always consider that this material world is a dangerous place and therefore we shall chant Lord Narasimha’s Holy Name in order to be protected by Him in all dangers.’ (Srila Prabhupada’s letter to Himavati, July 4, 1970)
Lord Narasimha is one of Lord Krishna’s Lila Avataras, He particularly appeared to protect His dear devotee Prahlad Maharaja, thus He is seen as the main protector of all the devotees. (You can learn more about the pastime here(link to be put).)
So after each arati (Mangala, Darsana, Raj-bhoga or Sandhya) the song-prayer named ‘Namaste Narasimhaya’ (‘Narasimha Pranama’) is sung. The song was written by Vyasadeva, and is found in the ‘NarasimhaPurana’. In this way, by singing this song, Sri Narasimhadeva is constantly remembered throughout the day and is there to protect everyone.

NARASIMHADEVA ENGLISH TRANSLATION
NARASIMHADEVA ENGLISH TRANSLATION
1) I offer my obeisances to Lord Narasimha, who gives joy to Prahlada Maharaja and whose nails are like chisels on the stone like chest of the demon Hiranyakasipu.
2) Lord Nrsimha is here and also there. Wherever I go Lord Nrsimha is there. He is in the heart and is outside as well. I surrender to Lord Nrsimha, the origin of all things and the supreme refuge.
